I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Journalism at Michigan State University. My areas of interest include journalism studies, political communication, international communication, new media, and Latin American Studies.

My research focuses on the impact of technology on news production, more specifically during political events including elections and protests.
I teach skills related to news writing, social media and digital storytelling. My classes aim to provide a firm foundation in the current media landscape, while imparting journalistic values and ethics and how they relate to the digital world.
